Don't have one on mine (just the stock end cap/sling plate) but I'm guessing it has to stick out past the barrel.

That's very nice DILLIGAF, wood looks fantastic.

Its the original 1978 wood, I just cut the stock to shorten the LOP, stripped it, stained it and applied a dozen coats of linseed oil. It was yellowish before I started.

If this is correct, then you have a 14" barrel, not a 12.5".

A +1 will stick PAST the end of a 12.5" barrel, and be FLUSH with a 14".

Sorry, I goofed. I does stick past the end of the barrel. Still no issues.

Do you need to also replace the spring for the +1 mag extention?

The stock mag spring is usually just fine, however, the S&J plus one extension comes with a longer spring just in case

My word that wood looks fabulous on your 870 wing master Dili man! I have a 90's police 870 factory police 14" shotgun on its way to me right now. It already has the plus one extension I'm thinking factory tho. I wish it had interchangeable chokes tho! I don't like fifty foot patterns at 10 feet
