Hello all,

I'm kinda wondering if any of you shotgun gunnutz out there would like to comment on a comparison of the two? I know what the Express (read CHEAP) Remington is like,I have one, but how does the knockoff Grizzly stand up beside it, reliability, fit, finish, general quality and workmanship compare. The reason I'm looking for informed opinions is that I have seen some of the awesome looking Grizzlys done up by S+J and others, and they turn out to be in my estimation, over a grand fully tricked out.So I'm wondering if this is like strapping a bunch of cool mods on a piece of crap car and calling it a racer, or if the grizzly platform is worth all this customizing, or if it may be better to stick with the original Remington brand 870?

The configurations that the Grizz is available in through Canada Ammo look awesome, lots of the mods like a box mag, rifle sights, shorty barrels, and the like make it look like a deal for the price, so guys, is it a deal or just another piece of crappy cheap Chinese WalMart junk?

I have to be honest, I don't particularly care for Chinese made anything,Norinco has turned out a lot of junk in the past, IMO, and I am having a hard time deciding whether to buy one of these cool looking pre pimped out Grizzly's or not! Plus I don't want to support the Communist Chinese on general principle.

i have the 12" grizz. I have shot and compared it with a friends remington express. Overall the finishing on the remington is superior, but the grizzly is just about as good, and definately not a junky gun. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and my buddy with the remington wants one now as well since it is much more compact than his 18" express model.

I have owned the shotgun for around one year now. I treat the shotgun pretty rough. I expected the finish to be ####, but it has stood up well and does not have any rust, even though it has sat in mud, water, been carried for 10's of km's and rattled around on the back seats of my truck, with minimal cleaning.

Only thing I did not really like on the grizzly was the crappy plastic forend. It was really slick and not that comfy. The stock was great, but the forend was crap. I switched my stock and forend for some express wood. Much better in the looks and feel department.
