870 scope mount

What is a good solid scope mount for an 870? Where can I buy one? I'd prefer edmonton or calgary as then I would stop in and buy versus mail order.

I've been out to the usual spots and seen a couple disappointing efforts on the part of weaver (a plastic model and one that only bolts on one side). Not sure where to go next...

Are the millet ones aluminum? If it’s for a truck gun am I going to notice a large difference in performance given the wide difference in price?

Yes, aluminum.

On a truck gun you won't notice any different between the mounts or rails.

Any solid mount or rail will work for you.

If you have seen the Weaver Converta mount and do not like it for what ever reason, you should maybe reconsider. The mount is solid and returns to zero. The price is also good...............

Yes, the Millett sits about 3/4" above the receiver.
