870 Sight

So short story.

I have a 870 Tac Exp with the 18 1/2" barrel. I bought a 28" Wingmaster barrel that fits great on it as a back up duck hunting gun. However, my issue is I would like to resolve the front bead sight and its profile.

The 870 has ghost sights that I really like, but they don't line up with the barrel bead on the wing, bead is much lower even with rib. What can I do to fix, lift....add to or replace with. What have peeps done. I don't want to remove my rail and ghost sight. I really would like a simple by reliable fix, clip in or if need be GS a raised sight onto the rib.

Let me know what some have done or ideas. links to sight options are always welcome.

Remove the rail.

I've seen several different companies with bolt-on sights that just saddle over the rib on a shotgun barrel. Can't remember which companies, though. They used the fiber-optic glowing sights, though.

If you are intending to use the 870 for wing shooting, you will need to change your sights. Wing shooting techniques are different from aiming, as you are doing with the ghost sight and front bead on the short barrel. You could try to greatly increase the height of the bead on the long barrel, but still not convinced you could easily do any pass shooting with that set up. A lot of practice one way or the other.
