A question for all you 870 gurus.
With a smaller bore 870 (like a 20ga or .410), is the receiver smaller too? Could I swap on an aftermarket stock that's designed for a 12ga 870?
Specifically I want to see about swapping the Hogue 12" LOP stock from my 12ga 870 onto a 20 or 410 if I end up getting one. I don't like the length of a standard stock for my stubby arms. Feels like I'm reaching too far forward. Alternatively I guess I could see about cutting down the factory stock.
I remember reading somewhere that the receiver is smaller, that's it's not a "one size fits all" receiver that's modified for different guages.
Thanks for your answers!
