Ok I have an older 870 winemaker and when I shoot it in shotgun matches the action gets hard to work when the gun gets hot what can I do to fix this problem

Is the chamber clean, no plastic residue?

I am assuming you find extraction gets hard.

Sometimes the ammo is at fault. Does it do it all the time with all ammo?

Often a proper polishing of the chamber solves hard extraction problems.

Don't be afraid to use a gunsmith.
