870 Wingmaster Stock Fitment?

Here's possibly a dumb question. I have an older wingmaster (mid 70's) and I want to put a bird's head pistol grip on it as an experiment. Do all 870's share the same stock mounting or are newer ones different? I just want to be sure that any pistol grip I buy will fit without a bunch of screwing around.

Should all fit the same outside of some odd stuff like the mcs system.

Stocks for 12ga 870s are more or less all the same ..... they will all fit.

Just keep in mind that wood stocks need a "bearing plate" and synthetic stock do not.
