870 Wingmaster

I just bought a used 870 Wingmaster and I want to refinish the stock and forend. I got the stock off no problem but I want to know how to remove the wood off the slide to be able to strip it. Can anyone help?

After you have taken the slide and rails from the receiver, you unscrew a nut at the front end of the wood then pull the wood off.

Be careful not to split the fore-end as it may be tight.

remove the screws that hold the recoil pad and then have a hex driver handy...simple...
