870 Wooden Pistol Grip

Anyone out there know of a factory wooden pistol grip for an 870?

Dont think they ever made a wooden pistol grip from the factory and i would think it wouldnt be all that durable either . on the other hand though i have seen on ebay someone from vietnam (i think) that copyed hogues tamer grip and made it from wood but it looked more for show then actual use.

the grip holds up fine Nathan. i made it up from a piece of cherry and if you have a few tools you should be able to make one .they are the easiest grip on the hand of any pistol grip but having said that i can not shoot a shotgun worth a hoot with a pistol grip . it resides in a drawer and only gets used if i get bored .

Scattergun Technologies (Before being bought out by Wilson Compat) sold wooden birds heads grips in the mid 90's.

If you want wood buy a chippa t series ..although it would be alot cheaper to attempt to make your own wood pistol grip for your 870, with alot of room for trial and error if the budget was any where near the chippa...
