Bent carrier? Carrier lifts before it catches the shell and subsequently dumps them on the ground. Ive seen it happen with Mossbergs but never with Rems

It looks fine. This is the first time I've ever experienced it with an 870 too.

I assuming the shotshells in the magazine tube are being released "all at once"?

That is usually a shell latch issue. Since they are staked in place with a special tool,
replacement is normally a gunsmith operation.

Is the 870 dumping the shells directly on recoil or when the pump action is moved partially or full to the rear? Have you tried shooting without holding onto the pump? Have you tried shooting with slight pull rearward on the pump?

Are both shell latches correctly in place?
