Dlask sells a remade 870 for about $ 1100 bucks, but this specific dlask remake had all the bells and whistles... Nice gun, just out of reach for me at the moment.

I seem to recall that about a year and a half ago Ellwood Epps had some NIB 870 Police guns with 14" bead-sighted barrels and synthetic stocks for sale at $799. They were apparently the last new ones we Canadians can expect to see for a while.
Epps also sold a used VG-condition 14" 870P with wood furniture for $550 a couple of months ago.
The going asking rate for used 14-inch 870Ps on this forum seems to be around $1,000.

Thanks for the replies. Gives me something to work with. My opportunity to purchase is a little on the high side but I am hoping there is some wiggle room there. Supply and demand. There doesn't seem to be a lot of these 14" Remington barrels around.
Just to give you an idea what to compare to the 870P with wood and park 4301 is around $460 new. Now a 14" is the same gun but shorter barrel and usually synthetic stock. Now since we can't get these anymore (no more US exports for now) the demand and price has gone up but.. Is it really worth 2-3 times the price of the same gun to you.. That is the real question. For some it is, for some it is not.
