887 tactical question

I just got one of these and unless im pushing forward on the forend the slide button wont release it. Maybe this is normal but wanted to check because when firing it looks like unless ur pulling forward on forend the bolt doesnt close all the way and may cause poor pin contact? thanks for any help!

Mine you certainly couldn't pull back and press the button at the same time or it wouldn't open. I believe it's normal.

Disregard my pm both of mine do it, I've just shot they so much I dont even notice it anymore.
You need to pull it forward to release the bolt but not to shoot.
