Cool guns. Kind of a cross between a Mauser 91 and a Gew88. The one you picture looks like Belgian issue.

Forgot to mention, you may want to pick up the book "Mauser military rifles of the world" by Robert Ball. It has some very good information on the early mausers and their development.

Mauser Bolt Rifles; By Olson, Ludwig Elmer

Ammunition is also discussed in this book.

The rifle and carbine were made in Belgium, England and the US.
