$89 No.4 T?!

At that price, I'd pick it up and start restoration. I've had a brand new in the grease No. 4 barrel salted away for years, for such an occasion.

you'd be amazed at the #of people that think "t" stands for TRAINER-NOW HAD THEY used 'S" ....

T

Not to many years ago batch's of rough "T's" came out of India. Stripped of their scope and mounts, Ishy-screwed, bad shape overall etc. Sarco and other U.S. firms were listing them for couple hundred I recall.

Whoever buys that rifle has two challenges on his hands. One is to rebuild the wreckage into 1945 BSA No.4. The second is to make it back into a "T" rifle (pads, sight, cheekrest, scope ...).

But on the bright side, that is one less No.4T on the collector's market. It increases the value of mine and others like it.

He's sitting on a heavily bubba'd rifle, in poor condition. Since the outside is that rusted, the bore likely is too. Have to agree that he doesn't know that it started out as a sniper.

"...if I had $89..." Take the beer bottles back. snicker. Not that it would matter. The seller is a U.S. dealer. Likely can't or won't export.

Dear Lord F@#*ING CHRIST! I think I'm gonna cry @.@ Who in their right freakin' MIND would let a rifle get THAT BAD @.@ Well, then again, my Poppa's friend had a Mosin Nagant (possibly M44 d/t the length that I can remember) that the outside was SO freakin' rusted, it looked like it was left outside for a year and never taken care of. All the guy said was "Through a round down the barrel and she'll be good to go" @.@ yeah, scared the crap out of me just THINKING about firing it. His son "saved" it months later, took it to a smith and had her cleaned up, and I think put a scope on it. Haven't seen it since that, but was thinking of offering him $50 for it :p Anywho, I just hijacked the thread... my bad:redface:

P.S.
I did like the way they did the flush magazine though. Thought it was very clean lines, and smooth, almost ###y even @.@
