Did the controlled shotgun hunt this year Nov 1st to 7th on my property in 89B. I don't think the rut has quite started but there are plenty of deer.
Day one slayed this buck who came 25 yards from my stand. What a way to start the hunt! First buck I have ever gotten....
Saw deer but just out of range on day two.
Day three I got a nice big doe 25 yards away on the opposite side of my stand. That completed the hunt as we had no more tags. I feel like we finished way to early. I will be purchasing extra tags next year.
We have had the property for 50 years and only been hunting it for the past 5 years. It is really starting to pay off. The place was deer ally they were everywhere. And it was the first year there were no local idiot trespassers!
Freezer is full this year and now I got some antlers for the little guy to play with...
