8mm-06

[303carbine]

I got a little tired of the usual stuff , so I picked up a Mod 98 Mauser in 8mm-06 to try out for a change.
Anyone have any recipes for such a beast?? I have some 175 grain Sierra's and a few 170 RN Hornady's and a few 150 Sierra's.

The 6th edition Hornady manual lists loads for 150gr and 170gr. What powder are you looking to use?

PM Why Not about the 8/06. I'm pretty sure he can help.

He had one about 50yrs ago when he was in his early 30s.

I used a full case of H4831 and a magnum with the old 227 gr Herters Round Nose.

That was actually about 37 years ago.
