8mm ammo report

Hey boys,
Just hit the range with my m48 and 3 boxes of ammo

Winchester
Remington
and Sellier & bellot

The first 2 are low pressure loads but the last isnt.

Major difference in performance for me at least was impressive
at 196 grains the Bellot shot much more accurate and had more bang for the buck. 2 inch groups at 100 yds pretty good for me compared to the 4 inch groups I was getting with the 170 grain remmie & win loads.
Open sights too. instead of 1400 ft lbs it was like 2200 ft lbs. Just thought you'd like to know for hunting season Im still not sure what a cutted edge does on game? But it flys very well

Ok boys a little place this side of heaven called Bow Lake firearms near Bancroft On.

Great little store ,I love the S&B it is simply awesome. Matches 30-06
very closely in relation to FPS and ft-lbs. They do not have a web site but they are directories that will give you there number. I dont have it as I drive by all the time and pop in frequently. Good luck. While your at it check out the S&B website to see the stats and then compare them to Win/Rem/Fed. Not even close!

I like the Norma stuff Like the S&B its real 8mm Mauser, not loaded down to 30-30 power levels.
