I grow weary of the the issued cleaning tools and pull-through.

I used a .30 cal aluminum screw together cleaning rod a few times but I cringe every time I use it.

I want to up-grade to a one-piece polymer coated rod. What is a good brand that works well in the 8mm and available in Canada.

I Thanks

I second Dewey, great rods!

There is also a place for the pull through.

I also love my Enfield funnel, pour a kettle of boiling water down the bore, good for what ails ya.

I'm also waiting on a can of Wipe-out foam, supposed to be good stuff.

A .30 cal Dewey works great for 8mm,. Just watch the solvents you use, Deweys have a plastic coating and need to be wiped off right away.

Tried out the Dewey today and i'm very impressed with it. No more using my thumb and fore finger as a bore guide with extreme care and vigilance. With the Dewey system I can just go to town with it with little worry. My bore has never been cleaner.

As for wipeout... I haven't had much luck with it. Perhaps it was my prior cleaning tools because the bore was never completely clean no matter how much I worked on it. Got to the point where I had some very bad powder fouling and the bore was a bit grey inside.
