8mm From 30.06

Anybody around here make 8mm mauser from 30.06? I am experimenting with some once fired 30.06 brass & was wondering if this was a good idea.Thanks

I have made a bunch of it over the years. Just one pass through the 8X57 die, trim to correct length, chamfer and you are ready to load.

I do it the other way around, trim to length then size in 8MM die. Cases will last longer if you aneal them first. Seem to split the necks fast if not anealed.

Just finished 20 cases, had to trim before & after sizing. More work than I thought, but I have 150 30.06 cases & no 8mm so what the hell.

My 8X57 dies are RCBS and will accept the full length 30-06 case before sizing, so I just do it once.

Andy is giving you some good advice; annealed cases will get you longer case life for sure.
