8mm Lebel loads.

Rifle or revolver?

- 8x50 Lebel is the French military rifle cartridge, commonly called 8mm Lebel.
- 8mm French Service Revolver, the French military handgun cartridge, commonly called 8mm Lbel revolver.

Easy to get the two mixed up.

Nice little cartridge and the M1892 revolvers are solid and well made. I use 32-20 brass trimmed and run through the sizing and expanding dies. Use 32-20 shell holder, the hornady 8mm lebel revolver shell holder didn't fit my Starline 32-20 brass very well. I have Hornady dies but I'm not sure Hornady still makes dies for this cartridge. RCBS and CH4D do make dies.

I load a 110 gr RN FP bullet with 3.0 gr Unique. It's a medium load, not max. Bullseye, 700x work too. I have new brass made from 32-20 and bullets if you need it. The bullets are for sale here: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/996374-Cast-Bullets

You'd probably get more response on load data if you post this in the antique section.

Swiped this from another forum. Cartridges of the World being your friend.
"According to Barne's "Cartridges of the World, 10th Edition" 2.8 grains of Bullseye will give 700fps with a 115gr lead bullet (Lyman No. 32359)."
