8mm Mauser pet loads

I shoot very light loads with my K98 since my range is limited to 100 yards.

Winchester Brass
Winchester Primers
Hornady 150 GR SP (Product code #3232)
41.0 GR Reloader 15

This is a VERY accurate load in my rifle at 100 yards.

I have tried a number of different loads in my Husky 8mm and have found that for some reason the rifle likes this load, as my styer m95 does not.
winchester brass
wc large rifle primer's
varget 44 gn
nosler E- tip 180gn

I used to have 2 Brno 21H in 8x57, and have been itching to get another. I'll keep my eye on this thread for "motivation". Hopefully someone has played with RL17 and 200gr Partitions...

200 grain Partition or Accubond:
"Dominion" cases, CCI 200
50.5 grains of Vihtavuori N550.

With the 175 Sierra or the 180 Ballistic Tip:
"Dominion" cases, WLR
52.0 grains of Vihtavuori N150.

Reason I am using the older "Dominion" cases is they have the greatest internal capacity of any case I have seen in 8x57.

Winchester has somewhat less room, and these loads compress unless you can seat them way out.

Regards, Eagleye.

thanks guys hopefully we get some more info. Would love to hear it. My grandfather gave me a mauser 98 when I was little. It is the best looking WW II rifle I have seen. Not a mark on it. Looks like new. Except whoever he got it from put on a willams peep sight and cut the stock to fit the sight. I would love to shoot my next moose or deer with it.
