Surplus is almost non-existent in Canada but it does come up once and awhile.

Commercial ammo from the biggies (Remington, Winchester, Federal) is available at most gun stores, but it isn't cheap.

8mm Mauser tends to be a reloader's caliber if you want to shoot it alot.

Where you are matters.
Milsurp "spam" cans are virtually gone. No major military has used 8mm Mauser for eons. Milsurp ammo, of any kind, isn't exactly cheap any more either.
Reloading is your best bet.
 
There would be lots of people that are interested if you find any. Reloading is the best bet from premium boxes of ammo with good brass. There was the odd whisper of some MFS stuff coming out this year, but though it may be good shooting ammo, its not the cheapest either.

8mm is a nice round, keep looking. For the interim, reloading is the way to go.
 
i purchase mine at Wholesale sports. $22 for a box of Federal 150 grain...they always have stock and lots of it...Federal, Winchester, Remington, Sellier & Belloit
 
I don't know where you are, but in Ontario, Canada- you can get it in our local outdoor store.. any time. Made by Winchester 8X57. You can buy it in balk at local gun shows too!
 
Is there anyone out there that could help me,with getting my hands on 8mm-o6. I know it's a reloading cartridge, but maybe someone in the GTA is able to trade some equipment or knowledge?
