8mmx57mm Factory Ammo Muzzle Velocity?

I know that the factory stuff is underloaded a bunch because of safety concerns in the old small bore 8mm rifles. What I want to know is, just how underloaded is it? Has anybody actually chrono'd Federal 170gr ammo to see what it does for velocity?

I have a Remington 700 Classic in 8x57, and have chrony'd several factory ammos in it, but most were of European origin. The Federal 170 I did 'graph, and it was an anemic 2360 fps. To compare, The Igman 198 grain SP was 2595, and the older Norma 196 grain ammo was 2624 avg. I drive the 180 out of mine at 2770, and the 200 at 2650 with good handloads. Regards, Eagleye.
