Guess?
I am have been asking a couple of dealers about different POSP scopes and getting some great info, but now I am torn between the 6x and 8x scopes and whether or not to go with a x24D or x42D. Is the x42 harder to sight in...read that somewhere...and is it more likely to get battered by the ejected cases?

for my part i opted for the 4x24BM. I think 6x is more than enough for a cz, i find 4x best around choice but its only my humble opinion:) Whatever you choose, you will need a deflector if you dont want scratchs on your scope.

I concur that a 6x or 8x scope seems like overkill on a CZ 858 (or any other semiauto carbine in 5.56 or 7.62x39). They aren't long range precision rifles.

Thanks.

Any info on the x42? Needed? Nice to have? Harder to sight because of the width? I wish I could handle the two to get a better idea.

I love my 6x42 and would buy another if I had to do it all over again but my rifle is mostly used on the bench so weight is not an issue for me.
