Not sure how the rifle is that old when the cartridge wasn't adopted till 1930 . Unless they re chambered guns for it.
Few if any were made post 1919. They were rechambered for 8x56r post 1930.

With the heavy bullet 4895 or a step slower, like Varget or RL15 would be a good choice.
