8x56R Carbine Velocity?

Not sure how the rifle is that old when the cartridge wasn't adopted till 1930 . Unless they re chambered guns for it.

Few if any were made post 1919. They were rechambered for 8x56r post 1930.

Bingo, mine was made in 1915, originally chambered in 8x50R then converted later and most likely used by the German police in WWII.

With the heavy bullet 4895 or a step slower, like Varget or RL15 would be a good choice.

I tried IMR4895, I am using a 205gr bullet, I did not have any good loads with it really.
