I have one in 9.3x62 - very accurate but has feeding problems...
Take it to a smith.... might just need the extractor tuned a bit. The 7x57 I picked up came with a magnum extractor which wouldn't extract #### lol.

of course the 1:14 will stabilize 320 grains .... original was between 1:16 for the scandinavian to 1:14.2 twist for german ones ...
Hi Fellow CGN'ers,
I finally got ammo (PRVI from Tradeex) and took the little Zastava shooting. Our range is just a 50 yard indoor range, but open 24/7, so great.
When I took the Zastava from my hard case in which it was transported, the recoil pad fell off. In all fairness, it is an aftermarket pad, so most likely not a Zastava factory problem, but the holes for the screws did seem big. Then I discovered that the rifle does not feed the 285gr RN ammo from the left side of the magazine; only rounds on the right feed smoothly. The previous owner had informed me here on CGN that it fed 100% reliably with the ammo he had used (250gr Hornady Superformance), so perhaps Barnes 250 TSX or T-TSX may also feed reliably.
The good news however, is that the rifle is very accurate! Compared to most bolt action rifles I have owned, this seems to be far better than average, having several pairs of "snake-eyes" over a rest at 50 yards. I hope to get the feeding problem sorted out, as this is a great rifle and cartridge combination.
Reagrds,

the bolt would not pick up the round - just goes over...
I like the look but what's up with the metal schnabel nosecap? It doesn't seem to line up with the wood. Is that an optical anomaly or does it actually not line up with the wood? My OCD can't get past it.
That's odd - the bolt face should contact the cartridges from each side of the magazine as the bolt is pushed forward. Make sure each cartridge is put in at the very rear...
