I have been lusting after a new brush gun for some time now. I've been considering the available options for a few months. I had considered cutting the barrel on my CZ 550. I had also seriously considered having one put together for me, my thought on that was a 20 inch 338-06 barrel on a 98 action. I thought about the t3 battue for a while but it's not crf, so no go.
I've decided on the CZ 550 composite carbine in 9.3x62 it has about a 20 inch barrel, a crf action and a nice stock. There are a couple concerns but they're manageable. I don't really like the single set trigger or the possibility of a plastic floor plate and magazine follower but hey at this point for me, its acceptable.
I have a couple questions. Does anybody have any hard velocity numbers for the 9.3x62 shooting 286 grain factory loads out of a 20 inch barrel ? Do any of you know a shop where there is one in stock ? Last, any thoughts on glass for this rig?
Thanks eh!
