i just bought a 1905 Mannlicher Schoenauer in 9.3x56 but i cant find any reloading info on this cal can anyone point me in the right dirrection

Is this the same as the 9.3x57m Mauser/9.2mm Mauser?? If so a load of IMR 3031 of 43grains over a 286 grain bullet is listed a book that I have.

Can`t find my copy of Cartridges of the world but it will be listed. I`m thinking Dan is correct about lower pressure. Try Accuratereloading web site for more info, damn i hate when i can`t find a book or other stuff i know i own. Bloody cleaning lady moved it for sure.
 
It is NOT the same as the 9.3x57.. It is a much less powerful cartridge. When they were around, factory 200 grain loads were about 2100 fps, the 9.3x57 is about 2700 fps. As far as I know, the 9x56 is no longer loaded but 8x56 is and you can neck up the 8MM brass to make 9 (,358 diameter bullet). A 200 grain bullet and 37 grains of 3031 would make a good starting point. Most listed loads show 40 grains of 3031 as max in this round. Hope this helps.

The reason that I ask if it is the 9.3x57 is that I cannot find it in cartridges of the World or in the Datig books that I have. Also I have looked on several Cartridge collecting sites and there is no mention of a 9.3x56 MS only the 9X56MS or the 9.5X56MS. IF it is not the same then all I can say is good luck and maybe case the chamber to get the proper sizes.

thnaks those pictures should be a big help i'll be able to find out exactly what i'm dealing with when i get it i'm still waiting for it to be okayed something to do with a 4 digit serial number there is some ammo that comes with the rifle
 
i double checked the the calibre today and it is a 9 x 56 ms any info and where i might be able to find a set of dies including a (for lack of a better term) necking up die
 
CH4D.com lists dies for the 9x56 M-S for $81.00. I think they will ship to Canada.

My COTW (11th Ed., pg 433) lists only one load, 40.0 gr of 3031 under a 200 gr. SP bullet for 2110 fps.

Good luck getting components. Buffalo Arms won't ship to Canada. But you could try Henry Nierychlo here on CGN, who imports from the US.
