Hey guys,

I'm new here and I tried searching for an existing thread and came up empty, if there is one I missed I apologize.

My friend just picked up a Husqvarna 9.3 x 57 and is having a helluva time finding ammo, does anyone know a good source in Canada or does anyone here reloads that particular cartridge?

Thanks!!

Its pretty much a reloader-only cartridge. I've seen factory ammo before, but it wasn't cheap and that was a few years ago. Probably little to no availability on it these days.

If you already reload its not a big deal, with 8mm mauser brass and Hornady dies you can neck up the brass to 9.3mm in a single go, the hornady dies have a long tapered expander for this very purpose. If you or your buddy don't reload, well, its probably cheaper to sell that rifle and buy one in 9.3x62 then it would be to get set up reloading. Of course getting set up for reloading has its own benefits...

As per Post #4 - is fairly easy to reload from 8x57 brass - I have never, ever seen 9.3x57 ammo to buy at any store in Saskatchewan or Manitoba, but I have never been to all of them, either. If you want to PM to me, I can fill in details - was much back and forth a few years ago how to set re-formed cases "exactly" to match your chamber, or can just run 8x57 into a Hornady 9.3x57 Full Length sizing die and call that "good enough". I happen to have small supply of .366" 285 grain cast and gas checked bullets from Jet Bullets. I understand others use like 250 grain 9.3 Accubonds, or 270 grain 9.3 mm Speer Jacketed bullets and similar. I know 9.3 mm bullets can go a LOT heavier - is some Woodleigh 320 grain jacketed bullets on the shelf for my 9.3x62, that I have not got to, yet.
