Most of the 9.3x57 rifles I've seen have been built on a 96 Mauser based action. Good actions, available in both the x62 and x57 calibers. I even have one in 6.5-06. Considering the pressure involved however, and the size of the 64 case, I think I would be making sure I was building a 9.3x64 on a more modern action (better steels and heat treating). I don't know for sure that it would fail, and I have enormous respect for the strength of Swedish steel, but I would still be looking for more modern for this project. FWIW - dan
