I’m considering adding the 9.3x62 cartridge to my hunting “ arsenal “. I realize that it’s most likely, better served ,by an accomplished hand loader. But just wondering if, there’s a common / ( not too, too, scarce,)supply of ammo out there?and how much does a box average? Thanks all for any info. Cheers.

I agree with Post #3 - but not sure about these days, if I did not already have supply of 250 Accubond, 286 Partition, Varget, Big Game and brass. Having Federal 210 helps, at least I do not need to find out if brand of primer makes a difference or not.
I’m sure you can find decent ammo for a decent price down south! Up here we have only one gun shop and I feel like they are gouging us on some stuff! As for reloading, I started because I bought one 9.3x62 last year and wanted to have more options!
few years ago i got a deal on few boxes of lapua and norma boxes at the price non will believe ... other than that it is better to reload if you can. hornady and remington are offering loaded ammo ThAT i will avoid for hunting and the brass are really strange as they re not real 9.3x62 but more 30-06 brass.

medvedqc - your Post #11 - maybe will cause heads to explode - but you are correct - proper 9.3x62 brass is not the same dimension as properly made 30-06 brass - case head size, rim diameter and thickness, etc. But within .005" or so at the worst - considerable evidence that people form brass from 30-06, and believe that they have created 9.3x62 brass.

I bought a bunch of Norma 9.3 ammo for a "decent price" which I believe was around $50/box. At least the brass is really nice, even if I ditch the trash pole of a rifle I would definitely build or buy another 9.3 anyways, satisfying shove without the magnum jab.

Prvi is best bang for the buck, and not hard to find. Just buy a quantity and stock-up. Very good brass too. Norma is about twice the cost, and while excellent, isn't twice as good as Prvi. Reloading is easy, but supplies are getting low to non-existent.
it is a solution than can work if needed but they re not 9.3x62 brass for sure ... like we did some fireform from 300 win mag to 375 ruger. a back up solution.
Especially now, there is no one in there that seem to know anything about guns other than what they might have seen on TikTok lol
They mounted a scope on a friend’s rifle and they put the wrong rings… he couldn’t open the bolt cause the rings were too low… and they didn’t even noticed, good chance my friend noticed before leaving the store!!
