9.3x62 as a target round? Sure....why not?

I wish I knew what all the screws do at the rear arm of the base. I know the wing nuts hold the rings on the base (slides on and off when loosened) but no idea what the other 4 do. Looks like you could dial in a bit of windage? My first and only side mount to date.

Mine, on an 8X57, has both windage and elevation. Pretty handy!

I haven't had to touch them thankfully.... prior owner zeroed it pretty well.
I'm getting a small pile of old Weaver's though from all these old gun buys, does Trace do a good job cleaning them out? They would look much better on these old timers.

My $144 priced one arrived tonight.... sending in the $35 rebate tomorrow. Sadly I feel a new gun will be required to mount this on...lol.

Dang I wish I'd have read this thread sooner! Congrats to all who snagged one for $144.

Glad I don't have to buy a rifle now though! :)

No doubt. I just looked up the scope hoping for the $144+rebate. Alas, as mentioned above, its over $200 now. Likely would have jump-started my search for a new rifle that spits something heavier than my 303...

If anyone bought one of these and had an issue with the mail in rebate (mine got returned saying product not part of promotion), quick call to Bushnell Canada will sort it out....

I still cringe when I think about shooting this gun...need to be in the right frame of mind to sit down and shoot it off the bench lol.
My 7mm mag 160gr loads are pushing just over 3000ft/lbs at the muzzle, the 9.3 with 285's are pushing just under 4000ft/lbs. Which one is the magnum again?
I'm sure it's much worse on the other end for whatever is catching it.

Benching my 375 hunting guns isn't much fun, but once I stand up they are like a really great wife with a powerful personality. Sure can be accurate off the bench if I don't let them push me around thou.
