9.3x62 Information wanted

I'm looking to set myself up to reload for a 9.3x62....I'm in New Brunswick right now and components and tools are hard to come by...does anyone have knowledge of reliable sources for semi-affordable brass, dies, bullets, etc....thanks, Rob
 
Prophet River in Lloydminster advertise Lapua and Hornady brass. Bullets aren't usually a problem. Epps, Wholesale, Tradeex, gun shows.

Also, Matrix Bullets in Crofton, BC makevthree different weights of bullets.
 
TRadeex has a good selection.
Or Send a PM to Mystic Precision and see what he can get for dies and brass.
PRVI and Graf brass are about 1/2 the cost of Norma or Lapua brass.
 
You have Trade Ex who carry a lot of components and all the dies you can need and you have Hirsch Prescision in Lake Echo NS who sells Lapua stuff.
There is presently a huge bump in interest for the 9.3X62 and even Federal and Remington are now loading it.
 
I ordered a set of .30/06 to 9.3X62 forming dies directly from RCBS. Their service has always been excellent, but I must admit I'm feeling a little impatient, although admittedly it hasn't been that long. I'm anxious to work up some loads, shoot the ole girl, and write a nice range report, and maybe take her hunting before the snow! Oh well, anticipation is the spice in the stew I suppose; in the meantime, I continue to stew.

Could you not just neck up with the FL die and fireform ?
 
I make my brass from Remington 35 whelen brass, but starting with 30-06 is just as easy. I use a set of standard Hornady FL dies. Also have discovered the PRVI 285 grain is a good very affordable bullet.
 
I've shot a 375 Whelen Improved a LOT for about 25 years. It's almost identical except a slight difference in bullet diameter. Here's a few observations.
1.) Get used to one shot kills. It will shoot WAY flatter then most people realize and retain a lot of energy. I shot two buffalo last year with body shots. 100 yards and 150 yards. 1800 pounds and 2200 pounds. Both collapsed at the shot. Moose, the same thing.
2.) I use fireformed 30/06 brass. Morons would ask me what I'm shooting. When I told them they would look at the bottom of one of my casings and remark "Duhhhh, it says 30/06 on your bullets". I obtained a huge stash of MilSurp brass. Now they look at my casings and wonder LC 69 means.
 
You cant go wrong with a set of RCBS dies for 9.3X62, I picked up newGraff brass from Trade Ex.

My best carbine is a CZ 550 FS in 9.3X62. They are great rifles for about 1200.00
