9.3x62 load data

How is the hornady brass for this round? I found some loaded Hornady 9.3x62 SP for $49.99 a box and figured its cheap enough to buy 100 rounds to shoot and hopefully have good brass left over.

I heard the suck! I learned to stick to euro brass for euro calibers… I bought some for my 8mm Mauser and only troubles!
Medvedqc has nothing good to say about them in the 9.3x62!
For me now it’s Norma Lapua or WRS brass for my 9.3x62, my 8mm Mauser, my 7x65r and my 9.3x74r!

I found some Privi 9.3x62 loaded ammo at a local gunstore for 40 bucks a box to try in my zastava rifle
heard the american made ammo has smaller heads on the casings so they would fit in a lee #2 shell holder
need a #3 shell holder for the privi brass from what I understand

Which store would that be?

Lee #2 shell holder a bit tight for 9.3x62 PPU brass just tried Lee #3 shell holder for priming not too tight or too loose seems to work ok. Great because I was going to buy a Redding 9.3x62 shell holder don't need to now.

Just starting out with this calibre. Using PPU 284 gr PPU, new PPU brass, in front of 54 gr of Dominion D4895.

Only two shots fired before going home to order a limbsaver recoil pad. Those two shots were about 1 1/4" apart at 100 yards with open sights.

If it's nice this weekend, I should be able to send a few more, and maybe sight the scope in.

Picked up a Lee case length gauge & shell holder for 9.3x62 trims to 2.434" PPU brass fits fine in #2 trim shell holder provided.

Frankly, when you can get Nosler or Norma or Lapua brass why would you fool with anything else?

Yes, you will. I bought new PPU brass, and it would not quite go in a number 2, but the three was perfect... I had one too, I think it was from back in the day loading 7 x 57.

I know that some insist on "correct" brass with "correct" headstamp, but several people (including me) on CGN make their brass from very common 30-06. There are a few threads on how that's done.

Just curious if anyone is using RL 17 have heard good things and may pursue that powder as I have a fair amount of it ?

PPU brass, WLR [the old Winchester white box Large Rifle "For Standard or Magnum Loads"] 285 gr. PRVI bullet, 56.0 gr. RL15 in summer, 58.0 gr. RL15 in winter / cold / hunting weather in 4 different '62's [3 x Husqvarna 649's on commercial FN98's, 1 Husqvarna small ring commercial, 1 re-chambered Husqvarna 9.3x57 on a 98 action]

Tried x2924 [between BLC2 & H380], W760, W760(SL), AA2700, but the RL15 was usually better.

For the 360 gr. RNFPTLGC it's WC735 for 2,100 fps or W760 for 2,200 fps.
