I just threw up in my mouth...but just a little.

Great looking classic!

What weight/brand of bullet are you using ?

286 Gr Nosler Partition. You will be able to fit about 67.0 grs into the case, depending on your OAL, and the pressure will remain below 50K psi. You will get about the same MV as with RL15, but at lower pressures.

After you've established the MV of your max RL15 load, work up from that, one grain at at time with RL17, and stop when you achieve the same MV (or 50 fps faster), or the case is full, whatever comes first.

You are welcome. Glad she's in a good home, and that you finally discovered just how well she performs.

The 26 lines per inch checkering really sets her apart from most.

All them chitty performing rifles, you got one in a 20 gauge shootsgun?
All that ugly wood and skinny checkering eye could probably forgive too.

There's an article on reloading the 9.3x62 in this month's African Outfitter. I havn't read it yet but it appears to briefly discuss bullet length and intrusion into the case. I always find their articles interesting due to the lack of American advertising influence. I'll report back once I've given it a once over.

I'm with you on that. There seems to be a lot of information out there in various forms but it's rarely collected into one place. Given the popularity of the x62 with forum members it would make sense to add it to a single point of resource.

Sorry 308, 223 and 338 WM guys, we're cooler.

Totally agree with that, it would be really nice to have a calibre thread of quality info. There is also a lot of good stuff in the other 9.3 thread too, although I have trainwrecked it a bit

I though I would update this a bit.....it's been nothing but trouble trying to find something that will work in this gun
someone suggested 58-59gr of RL15.....clearly a waste of time

The bottom right shot was another load of H414.....top left is a called flyer. So more work to do trying to find a good load

As she sits today with a 2.5 Leupy on board....just works with my wing safety
