57gr Varget, 286gr PRVI, custom '98 with Shaw 26" barrel nets me this.

Same load but with 270gr speer, HVA 98 originally in 9.3x57 but reamed to 9.3x62 by Andy prints like this at 100m

CZ550 FS, 20.5" barrel:

59.0 H4895, 250gr nosler accubond, 2600 fps

61.5 Varget, 270gr speer sp, 2461 fps

Both very accurate in this rifle.

285 gr PRVI, 3.300" OAL

1. RL17 - 67.0 grs (compressed) - 2600 fps
2. H4350 - 67.0 grs (compressed) - 2500 fps
3. Superformance - 71.0 grs (compressed) - 2500 fps

Yet to try - RL16.

This is an old thread, but here's a couple of mild loads that a friend recently chronographed.

285 gr PRVI, 3.300" OAL, magnum primers, reformed W-W 30-06 brass.

51 gr IMR4895 gave 2108 fps
56 gr IMR4895 gave 2279 fps

This in a quite light rechambered 9.3X57 Husqvarna Model 46 with original 60 cm (23 5/8") barrel.

I have several '62s, and have seated each load to just shy of the full length of the magazine box of the particular rifle. Have never had a problem with bullet being seated out too far. Every chamber has a long enough throat to accept loads to that length.

Settled on the shortest loading for all three. These are hunting rifles, and not trying to squeeze the last twenty thou out of a group. ;)

Hey, I meant to ask you the other night, did you have success with the 760 Remington 9.3X62 project, and if so, how did it shoot?

286gr Norma RN
63gr RL15
CCI 250 primer
Lapua brass

This gives 2350 fps in my Husky M98. My testing shows that my chamber is a hair oversize which is why I had to work up. But be advised that this load is over book maximum. Start low and work up. DO NOT USE THIS LOAD WITHOUT REDUCING FIRST
