Johnn, I'm not being critical of your scope choice, I have and like 3200s, but my favorite scope over a Mauser action is the straight tube Leupold 1.5-5.
Reason being it allows for more fore and aft movement than most scopes with a belled front, it usually clears iron sights if necessary, has very good eye relief and can handle recoil well.
Since my hunting ' comfort ' zone is within 300 yds. I find magnification to be more than adequate.

vaguely recall being forewarned of a couple of issues I might run into with it. One was that I may find the height of the comb of the stock to be too high for comfortable use of the open sights. The second delt with a slight difference in the configuration or shape of the bolt handle and resulting in the probable interference with a low mounted scope. I'll have to listen a little closer in future
