If your campfire talk centers around game go .300, if it centers around guns go 9.3. Full disclosure I own a gun with 9.3x62 ballistics and no .300, and the .300 is on average the most effective rifle I guided on big bears and mountain goats. It just doesn’t get a conversation going.
