I was following load data of the Hodgdons website for 90gr bullets, and it had set the C.O.L to 2.380, when setting up my die for the first time, misjudged how many turns I went in, and set my bullet to 2.242.
It is loaded it with 21gr of Varget.
I have stayed away from compressed loads so far, and I do not have a bullet puller currently (new ones in the mail). My question for the more experienced reloaders is, is this round find to shoot out of a bolt action rifle, or should I wait for my bullet puller to arrive and redo it. The reason I am questioning it, is most COL i see for the 90gr bullets are between 2.35 and 2.50 so this is significantly under.
And I am unaware of how this will impact pressures. My first assumption is it should be fine, because of the powder being on the light side, but a lot of times things that work out in my head, never work out in real life, funny how that works.
Anyways, let me know what you think.
