91/30 Hex, 1930, serial number 25?

Hi guys, just wanted to show this 91/30 I picked up over the weekend.

It's a hex receiver of the year 1930, with a serial number 25. I just wanted to see what you guys think if its the real deal No. 25 since I don't know much about my milsurps.

The bolt has the serial as well:

Now here is where my suspicion starts. The magazine plate is no. 25 as well but if you look closely, it looks like there is a 53 sanded out or something.

Any feedback would be appreciated, Though I'll be content if you're just admiring my pix.

Probably "25" with a force matched mag base.

Seen a few single digit SKS serial numnbers. Totally possible that a mosin would have it.

The barrel may very well be #25, but the mag plate and bolt look to have some numbers sanded off/away.

Interesting though, because that means the refurber would have sought out both a plate and bolt that each had a 2 and 5 in succession and chose to not just simply stamp a line through the old number and stamp the new one.

Or he scrubbed the old number and just stamped a 25.

Recently picked up a 1935 hex with serial # 11. Barrel shank has N added just above the serial. The rest of the parts are scrubbed and re-stamped with 11
