91/30 mosin russian scope mount

Never done it (Properly... Hi my name is Tokguy and I'm a former Bubba ), but from what I've read it's a bit of a formidable task. Prepare to have a certain group of hardline surplusers give you grief for "altering a piece of history"
Just warning you ahead of time, LOL
Stay away from heating and bending or welding on bent bolt handles. The following pic didn't hurt anyone other than a facefull of small shards of metal, but it speaks volumes to me; and I wasn't there.
Another topic to stay away from is "Wandering Zero on Lee Enfield Jungle carbines" ; wow, I thought there was a crowd forming with torches & pitchforks somewhere looking for my IP address.

First the tap needed is 6x0.75mm and you need the base with the screws and locating pins and the mount with a scope,original or repro, a good press drill,make a cut in the stock for the mount and as you said, a bent bolt and ofc a mosin with a round receiver, high wall prefered and also the correct mesurements to position the mount are also needed. another option is to get an ex-sniper but they have the holes plugged and drilling weld can be a hard task. Third option and possibly the best, buy a mosin repro sniper, will save you all the trouble and they are for the most very well assembled. In all,it can be done but must be done right. Its up to you

Oh yes and jungle carbines do have wandering zero
It is as a result of the modifications made to the reciever to lighten it. It's a fact live with it. You can't cut away significant parts of a reciever and expect it not to behave differently.
