92 Winchester Value - British Naval Contract

I was going to ask this in the milsurp section but figured I would get better results here. Someone asked me how much a 92 Winchester would be worth, unfortunately I don't have photos to share at the moment. It is a saddle ring carbine, missing the ring, in .44 WCF. This happens to be one of the British Naval Contract carbines and has the DCP inspector stamp on the top of the barrel. Unfortunately the stock has at least one large crack at the wrist, the blueing is almost all gone, and almost the whole thing was varnished at some point. I haven't been able to get a look at the bore. I know photos would be helpful but I was hoping to get a rough idea what this might be worth. Thanks.

I must admit that I like your honesty in the description of the condition! Based on that the rifle is not going to pay for anyone's college education. I am also working on a research survey of the entire 1892 production and would love to add the gun into my data. What is the serial number please? I would venture that you would be doing VERY well to get $800 to $900 for the rifle based on your description.
