Does anyone know if there is any dealers in Canada that deal with lightweight .920 diameter 10/22 barrels. Whether it be a Kid, TacSol, or whatever. I'm looking for a barrel with a aluminium sleeve over the steel barrel, something nice and light for a hunting rig. Any info that you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Wanstalls will be bringing in the Tactical solutions line of X-ring barrels.

Looks like they are bringing in the X-Ring SB-X's, which are 12.5" with a permanent shroud that makes it 16.5". Not really what I'm looking for, but I have been talking to Gary to see if he has any X-Ring barrels coming in. Just waiting to here back from him.

I used the Tac Sol barrel on my hunting rig that I built a while back.
It made for a nice and light, easy to carry rifle.
You'll like it.

Also tag for interest, I'm using a Dlask fluted 20" on a marauder stock, works well but its just a tad to front heavy so Ive looked around for lightweight 18.5" .920 barrels with no avail.

Avoid that one like the plague.

X2 I found butler creek stuff very poor quality compaired to the likes of green mountain or tac sol

what you could look at is a aero barrel from green mountain there lightweight with a bull barrel shroud over a thin barrel and shoot great or as fabsports said on here they have a lightweight kidd coming in soon and there great to deal with

It might have to do with doing the most basic of research on the internet.

Look at the top 5 results.

How does 8 inch groups at 50 yards sound?

Sounds like a problem with the barrel. Most people report it's more like 3 inches at 50 yards.

Fellas, forgive me for interupting, but I was wondering how light, a lightweight .920 barrel would be? (just trying to do a little learning here, so bear with me if it sounds silly, and by no means am I meaning to thread hijack!)

Reason I ask, I eventually would like to throw a "better" barrel on my sr-22 (still waiting for the rifle as well) would like to keep it 16-18 inchs, but going for decent accuracy.

Would a green mountain "normal" .920 barrel be quite abit heavier then a lightweight barrel of the same length?

Peppy....
My 16" Tac Sol .920" barrel weighs 15.50 ozs
My 16" GM .920" (non fluted) barrel weighs 3 lbs 7 ozs

So a .920" Tac Sol barrel is less than 1/3rd the weigh of a Standard GM .920" barrel.

You feel a BIG difference when your carrying it (or hanging it off your shoulder) all day. ;)
