Tried out my new savage .17hmr this weekend and while it is fairly accurate and a blast to shoot there were too many misfires for my liking. Don't think it was the ammo as it happened with both types I tried and all of them went bang the second time. This leaves light strikes I guess but not sure whether its the firing pin or a spring. Any suggestions? I've also read that having the accutrigger set too light can cause this. Anyone else heard this? This rifle is brand new so not sure whether I should return it to Cabelas while I can, send it directly to savage, or clean it up real good and try it again when I get a chance.
