Ok search is not working  ..... so what does everyone think about CZ 97B as when compared to GI 1911. They are somewhat in a same price range. No particular 1911 just basic from whoever, Springfield etc.
Grip size is not a problem.

All opinions welcome.;)

I have the 97B , and have added a recoil buffer (the plastic discs) and a wolf spring #18, rubber grips , Also a stainless full length guide rod. All these add ons were not required but good to have.
As far as accuracy , it rocks , not recommended for folks with less than a size 9 glove hand, its a hand full, In the looks department I give it a 10.
Also the mags are top notch.A friend got 10 shots onto a paper plate @ 100 meters , elbows on the table. He has a big hand , I sport a 9-10 size, not that my hand size was why I could not get all 10 rounds on the plate, I just don't have what it takes to shoot pistols accuratly , could be my ageing eyes because I managed a Gold at 15 meters in Ottawa rapid fire with mag change. I did not use sights at all , luck is a good thing I guess.:D
Hope this helps
Frank

Cz97 .45acp

I'm a tried & true 1911 man but a CZ97 has always been on my "wish list" [hand size not being a problem either]... I've had CZ75's in 9mm in the past. Great quality pistols IMHO... :D

I was actually thinking about posting the same thread....

I never handled the gun (97B) but heard many times that it's quite accurate but has a large grip (10 round of .45). Many people say that about Beretta too and my hands are only size glove 8 (I think) and I have no problem with it, so maybe the CZ would be a good fit as well...hmm  anyone handled both 97B and 92FS how do they compare in grip size? sorry don't mean to hijack...

I have never tried a 97B but was considering one, before picking up a 1911. Either one will be great. If you decide on a 1911, I suggest a Para Ordanance SSP/LTC, slightly more expensive than the cheapest Springfield, but alot better and in my opinion the best money for value in a 1911.

Sounds good, 97 it is...:p
Would like to shoot one first , anyone in S'toon area got one?
Handled one at wholesale and it did not seem to be to big for my hands, and I have no clue what my hand size is.....

Thanx all.
