im thinking about putting this on the ee its a g block port 98k rifle matches bolt has been renumbered to rifle by who i dont know.its a little too nice for a shooter how much should i ask for it ? any opinions would be great

I've actually seen a couple of bolts renumbered in the same fashion on Port 98s. They look to have been done in the factory as well, just like yours. Does the bayonet match? Did the sling, survive with it?
To bad for the bruises and scratches though, oh well.
The last ones, in similar condition I saw sell in Kamloops, went for $1500 each. They had matching bayonets though and were without blemishes, maybe even unfired, other than factory testing.
With matching bayonet, fired, bruises and maybe even a few more blemishes, like damaged screws etc, $650-$1000. Hard to tell without a hands on view.

Still a very nice piece though and price will depend on what you can get at the time and how badly the buyer wants it.

there was one at the spring Calgary show for $700. it sold quickly ,and there was some around here (East Ont )in the $ 900. range that took a long time to sell .

Look very nice. I like it.

States you can get them at 550 range plus 250 for importation to Canada (Usa Firearms broker) and 3-6 month wait. Storage at license facility 25-30 a month.
$550-
$250
25X6=150
$950 USD
Body who is willing to do it for you " Priceless"

Nobody wants to deal with Canadian Export.

That, my friend, is an awfully pretty k98. The last one I saw in similar condition went with an $800 tag on it - It never even touched the table.

Just be aware that you're going to have a hellofa time replacing it later if you decide selling was a mistake.

Nice rifle. Mine looks like it's stock was cut from the same tree-dings and all! It would be interesting to see if the bolt internals are numbered to match. How about the bayo?
I think it would get between $600 and $800. Unless your upgrading to a better Mauser, you'd be a fool to sell it.
