9mm 115 vs 124 grain, cfe pistol or titgroup

HI; When loading for a power factor of 125 for IPSC many like heavy bullets.
I see mostly 125 grain bullets and a few 147 bullets. 115 grain get too much muzzle flash and snappy for action work.
Therefore I have found can-pro 125 RN and a load of tightgroup that makes a power factor of 130 to be a good working load.
 
Have not used CFE Pistol, but have used Titegroup. Recently loaded up some Campro 124 grain RN's with 4.1 gr's of Win 231 and switching back and forth between my previous load of 3.8 of Titegroup with the 4.1 grain load of Win 231 I concluded I was getting tighter groups with the Win 231. I even did it blind, putting a small piece of tape on the bottom of the mag to indicate which was which, but not looking at it until after the group had been shot. Virtually every time, a better grouping with the Win 231.

It really comes down to what you want to use the bullet for.
IPSC production division, key is to hit 125 PF and reliability.
Heavy bullet and fast burning powder are the key.
Campro 124 and 147 are good option.
124 we can load it longer which helps with reliability. 147 we need to load short, may have feeding issue with some gun.
Titigroup and N320 are the powders people love.

115 gr 9mm do not give advantage if there is a power factor to meet.
Bullseye, 3 gun and steel competition shooters will use it, due to no minimum PF requirement.
Less powder to make the same speed.
Bullets need to be at certain speed to be stabilized.
Less powder = less gas = feel better in a non compensated gun.

CFE Pistol is allows Open division shooter to make 170 PF in 9mm major without come up with a compress load.
And CFE is at a better price compare to VV 3N38

1) How does loading long aid reliability? How would a 124gr loaded to 1.145 be more reliable than one loaded to 1.09?

2) I can load a CamPro 147gr out to 1.155 for my M&P, Glock, and SR9 so your "we need to load short" statement is way too general.

you are correct, it is too general.
 
I’m my Shadow I have used, in 124 gr, zero’s, and Cam Pro, and had done a bit with BDX.
Unique and CFE pistol work very well. CFE meters better. I could not get N320 to shoot great. I also have W231, but have not worked with it much to give an opinion.
Factory 115’s and 124’s both shoot well for me, I had more trouble getting used to the 147’s for some reason. Sure it was just me though.
