9mm - 124gr or 115gr?

Hey gang, kind of an odd question here...

I am planning on purchasing 1000 rounds of 9mm ammo for the stockpile as well as for an upcoming Black Badge course, however I am unsure whether to buy 124gr or 115gr. I don't imagine that there is all that much difference between the two, but I would like to hear what more experienced pistol shooters have to say.

Oh, and I am feeding a Glock 17 if that matters...

I prefer 124 grain loads over the 115 grain loads. I haven't shot enough 147's to form a educated opinion. The original 9mm Luger load uses a 124 grain bullet. I find the 115's to be slightly 'snapper' and the 124's seem 'just right' when it comes to function and feel. Works for me. Your GLOCK should reliable eat whatever factory load you decide to stuff in the chamber.
 
I have American eagle 115, 124 and 147 flat points. 115 is a soft hitter, the 124 kicks noticeably more. The 147 is as lame as the 115 and stays subsonic out of just about every gun. Less kick means easier on your hand, maybe more accurate?
 
All the above is good stuff, I am presently loading 144 grain lead round nose and 144 grain lead semi wc , both are very accurate, the powder is bullseye for both with 2.8 grains. I also load the above grain bullets in 9mm but prefer the heavier ones.

I've run them all in my G17 without any feeding issues. 124gr is a nice middle but I've switched over to 147gr for more punch on the steel targets. Pick up whatever is there on sale and try it out. I reload so I can choose my bullets. Remember that your POI will change with the different weights.
