I like 9mm 1911's so much I'm building another one from scratch on Norinco 1911-A1 frame and Caspian Slide.

I find that the 9mm has a little more of a sharpness to the recoil but it doesn't lift as much as the .45. It's similar to the recoil of my Shadow.

I have a Para LTC 1911 in 9mm and it is a fantastic option as well since we are discussing 9mm 1911's.

But as many people have said, get good mags. Of the few Para mags I have, 2 have feeding issues. The only thing I use these mags for is malfunction clearing practice.

Spend good money on good mags.

Thanks Paul. Yeah I had one on order forever and then this used one came up for grabs. I'm loving the 9mm 1911 for ammo savings and reduced recoil. Although us S&W 500 owners live for big recoil! Aheh!

Certainly, nothing like Paul's STI or Danny's Springer..... [Outstanding pistols by the way fellas! ]

But, I thought I'd add updated pics of my Norc NP-29 9mm 1911A1 that I got off the EE here awhile back. It came with most of the mods seen. I added the FLGR [just because I had a spare in the parts box] and the standard slide stop as I can't stand the extended ones Norc sometimes puts on their 1911 pistols.

I dunno... you've worked wonders on the redo of your other Norc .45ACP... [the one with the cool waffle grips].....

If that slow boat ever gets here with the next shipment of NP29's I might just score another to do up a dedicated .38 Super myself.

Norc NP29 is looking good as my first handgun. I love the 1911 look, can't afford 45acp, and don't cringe when I hear chinese.

Yes sir. Every shot I've ever posted is from myself. I enjoy photography as a hobby. I guess you can say I like shooting.

My new model Norc commander in .45ACP eats up Fiocchi 230 gr JHP's like there's no tomorrow. No issues there.
