9mm advice

A good idea then would be to check the dealer sites from those listed on the network here, see whats in stock in your price range, check out the online or YouTube reviews of the ones of interest to you, and choose from there, or come back here and ask opinions on a few specific guns.

Walther makes a great optic ready 9mm.
I have a buddy that just put an optic ready slide on his glock so there's always the option of getting an aftermarket slide rather than getting one milled.

Jericho 941, surplus Israeli 9mm. There are a few still available at Tenda, Firearms Outlet Canada etc, really well built, accurate and between $5-600 if that fits your budget
I believe they also take CZ magazines, but if I’m wrong I’m sure someone will correct me

Quite a while back I bought a Norinco NZ85B with the intent that if I liked the "CZ"pattern, I would upgrade. The factory grips were terrible, but I put a set of take-off CZ over molded grips on it. Over the years that I have owned it, I have had the opportunity to shoot a number of CZ 75 type pistols and other clones like the Tanfoglio, Jericho and the Sphinx, and the Norinco is comparable in every way (Including accuracy) to these other great classic pistols so I never did upgrade.

They sold for between $300 and 400 new, but now you might find one for $500.00 if you are lucky.

These are great choices, and yes, the Jericho takes the original CZ75 type Mags. I had a .40 cal 941, and bought a Mecgar CZ mag for it; perfect fit, and a slick mag. I think the originals may also have been made by Mecgar. This mag, BTW would hold and feed 14 9mm in my NZ85 (just had to try it) LOL. I don't shoot .40 any more, so it is going down the road, just waiting on the transfer.
